Washington, D.C. – The capital’s Major League Soccer (MLS) representative, D.C. United, is preparing for a challenging fixture list at Audi Field. The team places great importance on every point as they fight to secure a place in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

After a recent 4–2 defeat against Austin FC, the squad is looking to bounce back, focusing on crucial home matches against New England Revolution and Inter Miami. Particularly, the clash against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami on August 23, expected to be a sellout, is seen as one of the most significant games of the season.
Team dynamics are also active. D.C. United acquired a 2026 draft pick from FC Cincinnati in exchange for the rights to goalkeeper Nate Crockford, while loaning out young academy players like Gavin Turner to gain experience. The transfer of one of the team’s former stars, 2023 MLS MVP Lucho Acosta, to Brazil’s Fluminense has also made headlines across the league.
